Totalitarianism is the non-democratic political system of a country that uses modern tools such as the mass media and governmental policies to align all aspects of life to the entire population. Totalitarian states can be evil to freedom; this affects the quality of life since one cannot perform a particular activity like reading newspapers, watching videos, or even listening to music. In such a situation where freedom is almost not guaranteed, large scale violence becomes permissible. In pursuit of goal achieving, the state may experience conflict.
It used the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to explain totalitarianism, and the writer examined that some leaders are totalitarian in heart and allowed reign the whole society. It posed some critiques that were directly projected to Trump on his reception to the pandemic as well as his remarks.
