American Sign Language (ASL) > STUDY GUIDE > Sacramento City College - DEAF 310Homework 1.7 to 1.11. (All)
Homework 1:1 The strategy I choose is #3: Focus on meaning rather than individual signs. I choose this strategy because I think that when communicating, we don’t necessarily need to use every wo... rd to get to the “meat-and-potatoes” of the meaning. I have two young children. As a mother, you learn real quick what your child wants/needs by their limited words and gestures. I think that if I miss a sign or two it will be ok, because I can still grasp the overall meaning.
