Some of the behaviors that would indicate that the nurse is experiencing countertransference is the following: nurse overly identifies with the client, nurse competes with the client and the nurse argues with the client. A client's wife calls the charge nurse to the room and states she is very angry with the nursing staff because her husband is "not receiving adequate nursing care". What problem solving strategies should the charge nurse use in this situation? ● In order for the nurse to give the client and wife problem solving strategies the following should take place with the nurse. The nurse should analyze identified solutions, the potential pro and cons of each possible solution should be discussed and the importance of attempting to narrow down the number of variable solutions.
