The purpose of this assignment is for learners to: - Identify opportunities for improvement in foundational practice knowledge. - Expand understanding of disease processes identified as opportunities (lower score areas) on the APEA predictor exam. - Integrate knowledge and skills learned throughout all FNP courses. - Demonstrate the ability to analyze literature and perform an evidence-based review of a specific disease, complaint, symptomatology, differential diagnoses, and plan of care. - Guide peers regarding the chief complaint work-up. - Integrate feedback from peers regarding the chief complaint work-up. - Demonstrate knowledge of identified area of practice by writing board certification-type exam questions - Demonstrate professional communication and leadership, while advancing the education of self and peers.
