How did the simulated experience of Charlie Snow’s case make you feel? I am always a little nervous when the scenarios begin in the ED. I am just not familiar with the ED setting and how it works. ... As it went on, I felt a bit better about the situation and I actually performed very well on my first try. The only thing I missed was obtaining consent, which I should have known better than to forget. My care was well organized and I knew what to do during the simulation. Maintenance of a patent airway was the first priority as well as maintaining adequate oxygenation. In order to do this an initial assessment was necessary to ensure that the provider could order the correct medications and interventions.
