Your reflective journal for this week is your response to the session with Dr. Craigie with incorporation of the content of Chapter 4 in the Craigie book. Reading this book for this session was very... interesting. As human beings, we all have questions regarding our purpose in life, the existence of a something greater than us in the universe and how do we reach or maintain wholeness. This book by Dr. Craigie makes one really take times to reflect on life, not only as an individual but also as a care provider. Spirituality is necessary in healthcare and to be able to bring the best out of one self, one has to be able to have that sense of wholeness and that feeling of being grounded in order to be able to transmit to the coworkers one work with and the patient one cares for. In the chapter four of the book, Dr. Craigie affirmed that “in care giving, spirituality is divided in three parts or arenas.” (Craigie, 2008) [Show More]
