Psychology has many importance’s and contributions in our society ,it has been shown to contribute to the understanding of chronic pain and also has helped develop treatments to reduce pain (Jensen&... Turk,2014). Psychology helps us also understand ourselves and others better ,develop critical thinking skills, learn about human development and also have insight on mental illnesses. Psychology aims to describe ,explain ,predict, control and improve. There are many types of psychology which help one learn the environmental social pressures that affect how people think ,feel and act. The field of psychology has limitations since when studying human behavior, the pattern may tend to vary since no two people are similar and it can be easily misinterpreted. According to the Association of psychological science (2021) psychology is facing problems like lack of diversity and globalization in research which reduces inclusivity ,replication of research this leading to loss of research integrity and also lack of public trust due to misinformation. In the future the field of psychology may still be facing the problem of diversity and globalization unless we start acknowledging the achievement of people of color and engaging with marginalized people .
