Managerial Economics > CASE STUDY > Case Study 1.1 Global Warming (All)
Introduction / Background Global warming is the observed and projected increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and ocean. The Earth's average the temperature rose about 0.6 ... Celsius (1.1° Fahrenheit) in the 20th century. The increased temperature causes changes in weather resulted in the greenhouse effect. The visible effect on environments are melting glaciers, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It has become clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. And in the long run, humans and other beings will be affected by the after-effects of this global warming such as stronger typhoons, hottest temperature and etc. That is why many international organizations like Kyoto Treaty and Paris Agreement encourage member countries to determine, plan and regularly report on the contribution that it undertakes to mitigate global warming.
