Introduction In the first week I developed two diagrams one being an organizational chart and the other being a SWOT analysis diagram. The organizational chart is a diagram showing an organization's structure and its sections and positions / jobs relationships and relative ranks. An organizational chart gives organizations and project teams and sense of identity and direction. They also help organizations and project teams identify and complete their goals. The other diagram created was a SWOT analysis, which is a planning technique that has helped us in identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the new Service Department for Appliance Warehouse. Lastly, I created a mission statement, a problem statement and an opportunities statement, which gave statements based on their relative names. This week I will be conducting a business case investigation which will include interviewing 4 employees on several topics in order to influence future design. I will then develop a use case diagram that will illustrate customers making appointments and verifying parts availability. In this section I will also be identifying the users of the system and requests into and out of the system. Lastly will be identifying the implementation resources needed for the project, which will include Identify people and hardware. Human resources may include internal or external resources. Business Case Investigation In this section I will be developing a business case investigation, which involves conducting a business analysis. A business analysis will help identify the needs of business/project and determine solutions to business/project problems. These solutions could come in the form of software, process improvement, or changes in the organization.
