This report for Managing Software Development is the first assignment where we have to
perform several tasks as a written report and a small component of on-line task. This report is
divided into 3 part. The first part of report will be cover 2 types of testing namely acceptance
testing and black box testing. The acceptance testing is to be performed on various scenario
which is based on submission of assignment on student portal of university. While on the other
hand the detailed black box testing is to be performed on the “Print” functionality of MS Word
2016. Moving to the second part of the assignment, we have to perform a task online where we
need to fork a project from GitHub, modify the document of the project as we like and request
the pull of updated document to the admin. Continuing the second part, we have to discuss about
the “Nightly Build System”, its advantages to the developers and its disadvantages that can affect
the developer. Lastly on this part we also require including the idea on how releases are
distributed to the public. The final part of the report is to build a Request for Proposal (RFP) for
Gold Technology as mentioned on the scenario. The RFP will include various topic that will be
directing the vendor what and how to prepare on their proposal.
