Allow me to begin this Twitter live chat planning in the most honest way that I can;
Twitter is the one social media outlet I have avoided consistently. I personally never found
Twitter to be that interesting or user friendly; therefore, I began and ended my use of it in 2012.
Due to the nature of this assignment, I have dug up my old Twitter handle and began brushing up
on the ins and outs of Twitter.
To begin the planning, allow me to put forth my strengths and weaknesses when it comes
to technology. I do in fact have a Twitter account, one that I created back in March of 2012. It
took some work but I managed to recover my password in order to begin utilizing my account
once more. I have access to Twitter via the internet on either my phone, or laptop. I will most
likely be hosting my live chat from my phone due to my work schedule. As far as the operation
of Twitter itself, it took a little bit of time and asking my friends for help, but I figured it out. I
now know how to successfully create image shares; as well as, pinning them, retweeting them,
liking and commenting on them. When it comes to archiving your Twitter live chat, I am a little
bit unsure. I found that there is a way to download your Twitter data through the app, which then
makes it a zipped file. I understand the steps on how to accomplish this; however, I’m not sure
how the final product will turn out as I have never tweeted anything. I am confident that the
archive will turn out as expected, to be sure I will be testing it before my live chat occurs.
Now, back to the most important part, the topic of my Twitter live chat. My Twitter live
chat will be utilizing the hashtag “Let the sunlight”, which refers to the use of the sun as a natural
energy source via solar energy. The actual hashtag used to advertise the live Twitter chat and to
use during the chat itself will look as such: #letthesunlight. The live chat will be held on
