NB: I try for flexibility in meeting with students so please make an appointment if you want to
meet with me in person.
NB: This is an in-person course not an internet course. However, there is a Moodle website
associated with the course. Students are expected to obtain course materials from the Moodle
website, including information about readings and activities that are required preparation for a
class.
B. Time and Location:
Tuesdays 8.30-11.30am in Curtis Lecture Halls (CLH B)
CLH B is right near Tim Hortons to your left. Before the stairs that go upstairs to Curtis, turn to
your left.
12 weeks of classes, starting September 10th and finishing December 3rd, 2019.
C. Expanded Course Description: The main goal of the course is to provide students with the
opportunity to learn about using research in practice by analyzing published research reports.
Course content focuses on the theory and methods of research that are the basis from which to
critique and analyze reports of research. Students engage in co-operative learning with course
faculty and peers and have the opportunity to develop critical thinking and writing/verbal skills.
Course credit exclusions: HH/NURS 3300 3.00, AP/ADMS 2300 6.00.
Note: A minimum grade of 5.00 (C+) is required in this course for the BScN degree.
