I enjoyed the ease of taking as much time to assess as need to obtain the information without the patient getting frustrated with so many questions. This assignment challenged me to dig deeper and ask more direct and thorough questions. How can you apply what you've experienced in this assignment to your professional practice? Student Response: This assignment helped me realize that my questions and information seeking techniques could use improvement. I was able to identify how important it is to ask the patient the correct questions in a timely manner. The provider should never assume information about the patient's lifestyle, previous medical and surgical history, and social patterns.
