Can you determine / do they identify the types of contract structures they engage in? Do they distinguish between one contract and two contract structures? Design Firms: SCS Engineers: This engineering firm provides a website that is easy to navigate for respective clients to find the right services for them. Their website details their services, locations, and values. The services they provide are but not limited to solid and hazardous waste management, energy, remediation, and environmental compliance. They claim their goals are to prevent, mitigate and remediate environmental events, and use their environmental regulatory systems knowledge to help shorten project timelines and stay on budget. The firm promotes its services to be "innovative" because their professionals have a considerable amount of hands-on experience and dedication. More importantly, the firm's website also includes a list of employees, along with a summary of their title and work. The list of employees would allow clients to check on the people working on their projects. They also include a section listing the awards they have received to reassure clients they are the best engineers in the business. a. The part of the project delivery cycle the firm vaguely mentions is the design part. They briefly mention that they have “far-ranging capabilities” and “higher levels of environmental performance” while still achieving their budget and business goals. b. I didn’t find any information on what type of contract structures they use. We would most likely have to contact them to get that type of information. Moffatt & Nichol: This engineering firm provides a website detailing what they specialize in and the services they provide. They claim to provide their clients with solutions in the marine terminal, transportation, energy, environmental, federal, and urban development markets. In addition, they state they specialize in structural, coastal, and civil engineering; environmental sciences; economics analysis; inspection & rehabilitation; and program management solutions. On their website, they also include a section detailing the company’s history. a. They didn’t really mention any parts of the project delivery cycle. Mostly, they mention that they provide their clients with “elite, influential staff of engineers, planners, and scientists”, as well as, providing the “latest technologies”. b.
