Moment_of_Inertia_of_a_Wheel_Worksheet University of Hawaii, Manoa - PHYS 151L

Document Content and Description Below

Moment of Inertia Theory 1) Moment of inertia is the rotational property of an object. This depends on the shape of the object as well as the axis of rotation. A high value means it's harder to mak... e the object rotate around that axis, and a low value means it's easier to make the object rotate around that axis. 2) Nm are the units. 3) Torque is how much force is needed on an object that will cause that object to rotate about on an axis. 4) B will be more difficult to rotate. Procedure 1) There are 3 sections in the wheel system. 2) The two mass values used were 0.1 kg and 0.15kg. 3) There were 5 trials conducted for each mass.
