Equipment: Instron Testing Machine with Environmental Chamber Material: 1. Nylon 2. Acrylic Procedure: 1. The procedure is similar to that in the first lab, except everything needs to be operated in the environmental chamber at T = 60ºC 2. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the provided specimen at room temperature. 3. The two curves of the two specimens at different temperatures are compared. 4. Repeat step 2 with a slower displacement rate and study the effects of strain rate on the yield strength and the ultimate strength of the polymers. 5.
