Report for Experiment #18 Northeastern UniversityPHYS 1155Experiment18 Kristine Umeh Lab Partners: Faridat Yusuf & Payton Perry TA: Kaihua Ji June 7th, 2016. Abstract According to Ohm’s Law, ... once a capacitor is connected across a resistor and a power supply, current will flow. The time it takes to charge and discharge a capacitor is known as the time constant and a decrease at a rate called RC. To test how the time constant is affected by capacitance and resistance, we built circuits with various capacitors and resistors to find the relationship between the three variables. Results show that increasing the capacitance and resistance will increase the time constant which means the relationship is direct [Show More]
