The goal of this experiment was to demonstrate Faraday’s Law of Induction using a solenoid and a small coil to investigate the frequency dependence of the Vemf. The simulations used were Faraday� ... �s Law Simulation on KET VirtualPhysics Labs. This simulation had a solenoid that provides a magnetic field shown in the simulation. The field was controlled by the power supply generator. The simulation showed and graphed the probe coil separation, the voltage across and current through the resistor, and the magnetic field at the probe tip. For part 1, the magnet was brought into the solenoid then removed at the same speed. Then Repeat but slower than previously. Repeat however flipping the magnet first. Using a DC power supply set to 30v Start data and run until small separation is achieved. Record magnetic field in gauss and Tesla. Part 2 DC current is set to 6 A, changing function to a sine wave.
