Executive Summary
Project Background
Solution Builders is a Managed Service Provider in the Twin Cities, Minnesota
that serves over 100 clients across the Midwest. The current security policies and
infrastructure has been determined to be deficient to our security needs. With the
exposure of inventory mismanagement and cyber threats increasing we must take steps
to secure our facilities, network, and systems.
Project Scope
The scope of this project will include policy management, physical infrastructure
installation, facility access, and training modules.
Project Objective
The objective of this project is to update our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
policy, access control policy, physical security policy, physical access controls/visual
surveillance. These changes will also coincide with updated training for phishing/social
engineering scams, and other cybercrime trends for employees and clients. The
security culture at Solution Builders will be renewed and our workplace security
infrastructure will be strengthened.

Risks
Solution Builders recognizes the following risks associated with the project
deployment and implementation: Inability to secure physical access controls and
surveillance cameras, policy update misconfiguration, lack of approval, communication
breakdown, and extrabudgetary concerns.
Communication Plan
The project will utilize Microsoft Teams for all communication and documentation.
Under the ‘Project List’ team there is a linked Microsoft Projects file, OneNote notebook,
and Microsoft Planner file that can be updated by every authorized team member and
management. The President of Solution Builders will be given an updated summary
report of current changes every two weeks. The managers of Professional Services,
Customer Relations, and Customer Services will receive an updated summary report
once a week.
