This law applies to all schools that receives funding from the United States Department of Education. FERPA also gives parents certain rights as well, these rights transfer to students wants they are of age which is 18 years old.First step: Identifying A Child Need “ There are several children that may or may not be diagnosed with a disability by there school district provider or a medical provider, however, one must understand that being diagnosed with a disability is not a guarantee of services under the IDEA (IDEA(2004)”.
