Running head: CERTIFICATION REVIEW 1 Certification Review Study Plan Chamberlain University Hinal Patel NR661: APN Capstone Practicum March 2020 CERTIFICATION REVIEW 2 Developing study plan by integrating my study goal is very essential as national certification licensure exam for family nurse practitioner which covers all body system and all age group. Since study material is so huge, I think I need to do proper planning and distribute that plan in terms of covering all the subtopics to achieve my future professional goal. This study plan will help me to stay focused on the areas which I need improvement depending on my NR603 APEA pre-predictor exam result. Timeline When do you want to accomplish your goal? Reflection How will accomplishing your goal improve your certification preparation or make you a better nurse practitioner? Improve my knowledge of (STIs) (33%) disorders. 1. I will complete subject specific exam of Sextually Transmitted Infection using APEA my Qbank practicing until I consistently score at least > 90%. 2. I will pay special attention to STIs patients in clinical and try to see how patients are presenting themselves in the primary settings. 3. I will review the modules presented by CE center on Sextually Transmitted Infection. 4. I will review and understand the Clinical My target to accomplish my goal is by the end of week 6 of this class so that I can understand the concepts of Sexually Transmitted infection well during the review class and perform well on APEA exams. Goal # 7 will be accomplished by week 8 of this By accomplishing these goals, I will not only be able to pass my licensure exam, but it also helps me improve my clinical skills of how to assess the patients and make final diagnosis. It will also help me to learn different test such as PAP Smear, Screening STDs, HIV test, gonorrhea’s and chlamydia test help diagnose the condition. It will also help to use evidenced-based evidences in making and modifying treatment plan CERTIFICATION REVIEW 3 Guidelines of STDs topics using updated resources. 5. I will spare 1 hour/week on Mondays to study topics that are related to Gynecological system. 6. I will check my patient appointment log and try to assess the patients who are presenting the clinic for STDs related complaints and will try to develop the full plan of care and present it to my preceptor. 7. I am also planning to attend on ground intensive review class during week 8 and learn more about this topic. 8. Working with women with all age groups who always c/o of infection., vaginal discharge, burning and abdominal pain, back pain, I will assess them and learn techniques of performing focused examination and monitor their ongoing plan of care and its effectiveness.
