Problem definition Over the previous three years the Edible fruit baskets sales and market share have gone down by 5% every single year in the consumer sector and business sector. Being the marketi ... ng manager for the Edible fruit baskets owned by a top franchisee in New York, I have decided to f develop a market research plan to try understanding the problem. The franchisor considers introducing a new kind of product to the Edible fruit baskets stores. The paper will outline the type of research that would develop a certain level of confidence on the sale of the new product and that the plan would be successful. To increase sales and the profit margin the introduction of a new product as well as expansion to other areas would be effective in the near future. Information needs Marketing research is a precarious factor and additional marketing research is necessary once the target markets are identifiable. Further investigation is necessary in territorial areas, specific needs and wants establishing viability with merchandise.
