Take one example from each of the different categories of food safety hazards that we talked about in the course (endogenous toxins, biological contaminants, and chemical contaminants), and explain how listeriosis is similar and how it differs from them. Listeriosis is a food borne illness caused by a bacteria called Listeria monocytogenes. These organisms live in the soil, water, and vegetation.
