Group therapy provides benefits such as learning with peers by using therapeutic techniques and methods to assist patients to learn alternative methods to reduce symptoms such as depression, sadness, and anxiety. The video referenced in this paper is psychotherapy for schizophrenia The purpose of this paper is to review therapies that are beneficial. The group techniques utilized in the video include cognitive behavioral therapy. The facilitators used the techniques well, asking patients to express their anxieties and how they overcame the anxiety the were feeling.
