IV. Financing and Funding
Determine the ballpark level of funding needed. What funding is available for your business idea? What sources will you use? Explain how you will use cash, debt, or equity to finance and fund the business at a start-up.
To start Fix-it tea it would take between $10,000 and $50,000. The type of funding available to raise funds for my business would be personal, bank loans, SBA- guaranteed loans, Government grants, Friends and Family, or Crowdfunding. All of the funding types to raise capital comes with different challenges. The source I would use would be an SBA- guaranteed loan because the SBA acts as the guarantor which helps gain bank approval. The breakdown of the loan would be as follow:
• Setting up business name and corporation
• Business license and permits
• Insurance
• Business cards and brochures
• Website setup
• Initial inventory of tea
• Initial order of prototypes
• Building location and setup
