Introduction to Advanced ICD-10 Coding Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this module, the learner will be able to: 1. Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes to a var... iety of coding scenarios. 2. Apply official coding guidelines and reporting requirements for coding scenarios. 3. When appropriate, sequence code assignments according to guidelines. 4. Practice assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to many case studies using more complex code assignments to increase in proficiency. This course is designed for practice in applying coding skills and knowledge in ICD-10-CM for all healthcare settings and ICD-10-PCS for inpatient surgical procedures. It is divided into five units.
