Part 2: Analysis Write a 350- to 525-word analysis of the similarities and differences between the two religions you selected. Discuss how the faiths are practiced and how they are perceived by thos... e outside of the faiths in terms of the similarities and differences you noted. While getting to read and do research on many different religions Christianity and Scientology stuck out to me the most. These two religions I hear about daily. My own family is Christian, so I am very familiar with the religion, faith, and values. However, getting to learn more about Scientology has been quite interesting. I have heard a lot about Scientology through magazines and articles on the internet. Many celebrities today practice Scientology. Even though I had heard about the religion I never really knew details about it until recently. Scientology is a religion based on the belief that us people are not so much of bodies and minds, but we are spiritual beings altogether. Scientology was founded by a man named L. Ron Hubbard, and he built the very first Church of Scientology in 1954 in Los Angeles, California. L. Ron Hubbard’s goal was to spread the spirituality of Scientology as far as he could, and today more than 11,000 Scientology churches exist across 167 different nations. (Scientology Newsroom, 2019) Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ, Paul, and Peter. Today there are more than 2.2 billion followers of Christianity. Christians believe in the concept of Heaven and Hell and believe and put their faith into one God. They practice their religion through prayer, the Bible, completing holy sacraments, and recognizing holy holidays. Even though Christianity and Scientology seem like they are entirely different, they do have a few things in common. One thing they have in common is the way they come together to practice their religion. Both Scientology and Christianity followers attend a Sunday mass at their church. Another similarity is that they both use a cross as a symbol for their faith. Include references formatted according to APA guidelines.
