Research Proposal The research that is being proposed is focused on answering the question of whether or not the lack of nitrogen have a different impact on annual crops in comparison to perennial c ... rops? The biological hypothesis for this experiment can be stated as, the lack of nitrogen has a significantly different impact on annual crops in comparison to perennial crops. The alternative hypothesis is stated identically to the biological hypothesis. The null hypothesis however is stated as there is not significantly different impact on annual crops in comparison to perennial crops. As discussed in lecture, these types of hypothesis are tested using the hydroponic experimental approach. In the experimental design the independent variable is identified as the water solution in which the plant is grown. The dependent variable is the growth of the plant itself.
