Please share what specific knowledge of healthcare operational planning and management that you gained through this experience will be most important as you take on your future nurse executive role? ... How will you use the concepts in this course to identify, guide, and evaluate your final MSN practicum project? Please share your topic or idea for your practicum project if you have one identified. Review the ANCC nurse executive board certification examination test content outline. Share how becoming certified can benefit you, in your role as a nurse leader. The topics and perspectives on operational planning and management have given me an outlook towards leadership that I had little to no insight on prior to this class. In order for operations to run smoothly, a large amount of planning must go into making a change within healthcare. This is where leadership plays a major role. A leader who can best support their staff through change, not only cares for their staff but shows a general interest and need to put forward what is best for the organization. In order for planning and management to be effective, leadership must be built on a solid foundation of the vision of the organization and a vision for the best for the future. I plan to exemplify these characteristics as I move forward within my career as a future nurse leader. I have not completely ironed out my practicum at this time as I am taking a semester off before the next course. I plan to utilize the skills and knowledge that I have learned in this course within my future practicum when I do have it identified. The ANCC nurse executive board examination is an examination of a structures and processes, exemplary professional practice, transformational leadership, knowledge and practice application (AANC, 2019).
