Summary The purpose of the lab was to use the Liquid Penetrant Kit and the Magnetic Particle Tester Kit, with test specimens of ten pieces as the material. The Liquid Penetrant Kit and the Magnetic Particle Tester Kit are used to identify the mechanical flaws in the base metals and welds without breaking the specimen or assembly.
