Johnson & Johnson Trace the events leading up to the incident. - Management employs handicapped workers through the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) - They hired Cheryl to work in the labs. After ... 6 successful weeks, she was offered a permanent part-time job, which she accepted - She followed through with ARC counselling and training for herself and other employees, and had a 3 month follow up period - They hired Tom to work in the Cafeteria. He was offered a full time job after 6 successful weeks and accepted it - Tom applied for a job on maintenance staff and got accepted. Both Tom and the company/maintenance staff decided that training was unnecessary because everyone knew tom. They all played pranks but he had troubles with his moods, because he could not distinguish serious from silly - Bob, another maintenance worker, told Frank, the lead technician, to assign Tom to a new task. Tom thought it was a joke, but when told to do the new job, he got angry and punched Bob Explain why the incident happened? - Maintenance/management and Tom both cut off the ARC- no training for his new position. They assumed because they knew him that they could work with him.
