Lab report makes overall conclusions about the investigation and relates these conclusions back to the hypothesis. Hypothesis: The data we collected during our experiment proved our hypothesis to ... be correct. Conclusion explains how the trends observed relate to physics. Provides a summary of what was learned in the experiment. Potential sources of error are mentioned. If expected trend does not match the observed trend, what might be the reason? Some sources of error during the experiment could stem from the set up of the circuits on the breadboard. It is imperative to have the circuits looked at by the TA before turning on the battery and beginning the experiment, both as a safety concern and due to the relative complexity and importance of the circuit configuration. It is also important to make sure the calculations are being done correctly, and that you are sure you are using the right circuits, as the colors can be difficult to see.
