SOCS 350 Week 3 Assignment: You Decide The person I have decided to hire is Ms. Jyoti, Manager of Wireless Retail Store. Her resume contained excellent work experiences such as she managed a... wireless phone regional sales office and trained salespeople. She also has many accomplishments; she was able to increase her last job revenues to 60%. This job position requires travel Monday through Friday and it also includes spending leisure time after 5pm with prospective clients. Ms. Jyoti is single, and she also stated in her resume that she is available to travel and work long hours. Lynn, IT Manager was not chosen although she has an extremely good educational background in fiber optics field, this position is in sales and the candidate must be articulate and must be able to spend leisure time with the prospective clients and this means communication. I know that it is illegal for an employer to discriminant on the basis of race, ethnicity and national orgin. I also know that candidates should be hired on their qualifications but this is a sales position and people must be able to understand her and odds are that she will not make any sales. I did not choose Jake, CPA changing into sales, because of his lack of experience and his lack of stability. I did not chose Karen, Sales Representative although, she has five years of sales experience and has been awarded sales Representative of the year she is relocating and also getting married so she will not be able to work long hours and travel Monday through Friday.
