The teacher can take advantage of the student's prior knowledge as an initial step in the learning process. This will give the teacher to construct an appropriate plan and time frame to deliver new topics to the learners. A schema is a framework cognition or any other concept which guides, organize and interpret information (Gans, 2019). This can be very functional since this allows us to take shortcuts in the interpretation of so much information available. As the schema theory is being applied in the learning process, activities that make sense such as reading comprehensions continuously linked the new knowledge to the experiences of the reader.
