Personal Narrative In life, many people express their feelings from the outside, but tend to hide their true feelings on the inside. Events can change or alter one’s mind either for the good or th... e bad. My sister, Danielle was a major part in my life. She was a graduated from Norview High School and was finishing her senior year at Hampton University with a major in mass communications. She was very athletic. In Norview, she played for varsity soccer, volleyball, and basketball. She taught me how to be athletic and shared all of her skills in all of the sports she played. I grew up with my sister by my side and I used to witness arguments between her and my mother. They would argue about her late arrivals at home, sex life, and favoritism between us. She would tell me to always listen to my mother and warn me not perform her previous mistakes. I learned from her as a child growing and loved her dearly. During the year of two thousand and four, one moment changed my life forever. The phone rang; my conscience suddenly thought that this is not what I think it is. My mother picked up the phone; listened and absorbed the message, then dropped to the floor with tears. I asked, “What happened?” and while fighting with the tears, “Danielle just got shot!” I suddenly cried with absolute disbelief and just ran to my room to release all anger inside of me. My mother and some of my family went to the hospital while I stayed home, and I waited, scared of the news I didn’t want to hear.
