Educator Evaluation Systems Analysis.docx Educator Evaluation Systems Analysis Liberty University Educator Evaluation Systems Analysis The vision of the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) is to prepare all student graduates for continual success upon successful entrance into their careers, college of choice, and citizenship. To achieve this goal, the SCDE supports students learning through tailored, digital learning experiences that are personalized to meet the differentiated learning needs of each student. It is the mission of SCDE to offer students attending public schools a safe learning environment through effective leadership and support. Such high standards require a level of competence that necessitates monitoring to ensure progress and growth. The SCDE has policies and procedures in place that allows educators and administrators to be formally evaluated. South Carolina teachers are evaluated using a tool called All Expanded ADEPT. This formal evaluation system reflects teacher's performance based on the following domains: lesson plans, classroom observations, reflections on instruction and student learning. Each domain is then scored accordingly, using these ratings: unsatisfactory, improvement needed, proficient or exemplary. School principals are evaluated using an evaluation instrument that measures how a principals performance meets set standards.
