This previous initiative was implemented nearly two years ago and while it provided initial improvements, our metrics have since leveled of and still have room for significant improvement. In addition, I will discuss ideas for an initiative moving forward that will continue to increase our mobility of patients, specifically patients in our critical care units. Area of Concern - Data Analysis Patient mobility is an area that has received increased emphasis over the last several years, especially in critical care patients. Early mobility, mobilizing the patient as early in their hospital stay as possible, and progressive mobility, focusing on increasing the mobility level of individual patients back towards their baseline rather than being satisfied at simply getting out of bed to chair, has become a standard part of overall care for critical care patient.
