Once telehealth is considered, the next step is for our team to come up with a plan to successfully implement telehealth into the facility. Technology develops and changes at a fast rate and the implementation has to be even faster to remain updated on the current trends of technology. Implementation of telehealth involves a lot of education because it is essentially re-teaching most staff members to forget one method of patient care and adapt another or to merge them together. By planning and hosting in-service sessions and educational courses both in person and online is how we will have a holistic approach on the implementation of telehealth into our facility.
