As educators prepare for the future of nursing education, it is important to be innovative in developing curriculum and learning tasks, while remaining current in trends and technology as well as adjusting the curriculum to meet the needs various styles of learning and learners. Nurses are expected to perform multiple complex interventions, and skills that include the use and understanding of biotechnology, informatics, and technologically advanced evolving equipment. Nurse educators will need to be knowledgeable of the most current technology and be able to make such technology applicable to the students learning experience and nurse preparation. The use of technology in facilitation of learning is vital in the nursing curriculum and can be accomplished through gaming and simulation. To create a safe learning environment and incorporate technology without fear this can be accomplished via escape rooms and simulation lab. This initial course will be foundations of nursing and will continue throughout the programs progression with each course to include escape rooms and simulation labs.
