A1. For Greece, one geographical feature I noticed was that nature produced poor and rocky soil due to the deep valleys along the rough mountain terrain. This affected the development of food crops by making it less applicable for the production of food like; wheat, however, the soil was great for growing olives and grapes. As for Rome, one geographical feature I found was that it was known to originate from the Tiber river valley. Because of the location, this river helped aide Romes development by being a main source for trade. The Romans used the Tiber river as a trade post and route for goods or other materials and was also used as a way to expand their territory later on (Acrobatiq, 2017). Part B. To continue, I searched for some cultural characteristics of Greece and Rome. While reading about Greece I found that they developed writing systems called Linear A and Linear B. The Linear A writing system used elaborate symbols to keep records of incoming and outgoing supplies, which were written on clay tablets in horizontal lines from left to right. The Linear B system, however, used syllabic signs, the base-10 numeric system, and short vertical lines used to separate words flowing from left to right.
