This material would likely be covered in class and this video would provide reminders during or after class time; however, it could be used for flipped learning or in class at the beginning of the instructional unit. The objective, in Mager style, is “As an individual, students will identify and provide justification for 4 out of the 4 requirements of the working thesis statement. The objective is stated in the video but it is also explained in student-friendly phrasing and connects what they are doing in the lesson with the bigger picture. The video explains that the focus in this video will be on writing a working thesis. The sentence frames of a working thesis are shown and briefly explained and then an example of a topic is applied to the frames.
