Garden Elementary is a Title-1 school with a total of 605 students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grades. There is a total of 120 fifth grade students in five separate classes. This class has 25 students. The class has access to a computer cart with enough Lenovo laptops for each student to utilize, as well as, a digital whiteboard for the teacher. The class is supported by one full time teacher and one part time teachers aide.The learners in the instructional setting are twenty-five fifth grade students at Garden Elementary in Venice, Florida. Of the twenty-five students, eighteen are white, four are Hispanic, one is black, and two are Asian. There are fourteen boys and eleven girls. Their ages range from ten to eleven years old. None of the students require individual educational plans. Thirteen of the students do qualify for free lunch and five qualify for reduced price lunch. All learners score average or above average on the benchmark reading test and all passed their state standard math tests with average or above average scores.
