TET1_Task_4.docx TET1 Assessment Code: TET1 Task 4 Instructional setting I am a Jr High English teacher and I teach 7th and 8th grade. We are located in a rural area of Utah. The school I teach at... is a one to one school and is very technology and internet based. Students use their Chromebooks every day. We have a student body of about 1,200.  Technology resources for learners with disabilities  As an English teacher, I have many students who struggle to read and, to write down their thoughts. When we are writing essays, many of my students struggle typing or, getting their ideas on paper. I have students with ADHD and many different processing disorders. One tool that will help these students immensely is talk to text software. There are many different varieties of this software but, the one I chose works best for the resources my students have available to them. We use Google suite software at my school so, students use Google Docs to write essays. In Google docs under tools, there is a talk to text option. Students are can turn this tool on and dictate what they would like to write.  The next tool I chose is for my students who struggle to read. There are a variety of reasons that students find it difficult to read and comprehend their reading. The technology resource that I found that I think would work well for my students is the Google Chrome extension called Read&Write for Google Chrome This is an extension that students can add to their Chrome browser.
