CriminalLawEssay_Unit7.doc.docx (1) LS311-01 Business Law Unit 7 Assignment Purdue Global University Remedies for Breach of Contract DATE: June 9, 2020 TO: Les Ange, Attorney at Law FROM: RE: Potential Causes of Action for Breach of Contract and Specific Performance Intro: Auction is like a sale method, where sellers, buyers, bidders, auctioneer, and agent auction an item in a public or private place in which goods or property are selling to the highest offer. A unique dress placed on auction from a movie filmed in South Africa where the dress had been showcased in the Silkadonia Actors Guild Museum. Pearl (the bidder) has been looking at this auction in a couple of months and looking forward to battle with Jade (the bidder) for the dress. Cassie (auctioneer) was chosen to act for the World Wide Action House. The dress was bidding at an initial $5,000 and ended with $8,500, where Pearl won the bid. Cassie (auctioneer) smiled and nodded at Pearl. They agreed to the proposal of $8,500 for the dress; however, when Pearl presented the money to Cassie, Cassie refused to take the money because of the highest bidder is Jade of $9,000. This is a violation of auction contract where the highest bidder agrees with the auctioneer to a final sale of the unique dress. Body: An agreement is evidenced by two events; an offer and acceptance. One party offers a certain bargain to another party, who then accepts that bargain (Miller, 2013). During the auction, the auctioneer smiled and nodded at the highest bidder; . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
