This can distinguish the successfulness of the project. Breaking down tasks into smaller tasks allows each one to be more achievable. Lessons learned is an important document that needs to be saved for future reference. The lessons learned repository allows for the PM to go back and see what did not work, what went wrong, and what could be corrected. This document is referenced for similar future projects. Critical Path The critical path method allows the project manager to see the important tasks to be completed during a project. When a project is broken down into smaller tasks the project manager and team and distinguish the critical path to make the project a success. In this project the Project manager took all the tasks and broke them down into different operations which gave the ability to have smaller tasks to work with. Once all the tasks are recorded the project team will estimate the duration of each task all the way to the end. This will give a firmer and more definite timeline. The critical path is the longest path from the first column to the tasks in the last column. In MS project there is a checkbox that can determine the critical path for the Project manager.
