Determining_Business_Network_Needs.docx Determining Business Network Needs NTC/409 Determining Business Network Needs As we look into the needs of a business, we need to determine what might work best for the business at not only its status, but also what it might need to grow as well. In order to design the Network you need to understand the needs of the departments that make up that business. A network traffic matrix represents the volume of traffic between all possible pairs of sources and destinations within a domain ("What Is Traffic Matrix", 2020). Some factors defined within this matrix are the different departments of the organization. The communication types between departments require us to estimate how much bandwidth will be required for each department. The traffic matrix can provide significant insight into how much traffic generates and as a whole for what the organization will need. We have determined that the organization will require a 200 Mbps pipe that be needed to provide adequate speeds for each department. That pipe will provide internet access for Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Sales, and Executives. Each department will split the pipe for internet although IP connections between each department will be connected by fiber backend, and WAP™s or wireless access points on each floor. The matrix below will show how the pipe is split up running specific services for the organization.
