But there come times when the human mind takes over ethical conduct, and either side might make a decision or say something for or against a person just to get ahead in the fight. This type of misconduct calls for punishment, and could cost innocent people their lives and give guilty people the freedom to continue walking the streets and committing crimes. The main objective in this paper will be to the types of ethical violations and punishments that have been associated with prosecutors and defense attorneys, give an explanations for prosecutorial misconduct with real-world examples, explain if attorneys should be punished more or less than the standard criminal defendants if they are in violation of their moral standards in court.
