Reflection_week_1.doc Reflection UOP HCS/305 Reflection Reflection is defined as having serious thoughts or giving serious consideration. The thought or consideration that has been put into this move to become certified in Health Administration was not one that was taken lightly. The day to day overseeing of the lives of the aging is not a task that should be taken any way except with the utmost seriousness. This population needs people who care and who have a passion for helping those who cannot help themselves but who deserve the best quality of life that can be given them. Personally Speaking The thought of having your elderly or aging person being housed in long term care facilities or adult communities where the staff did not give the best quality care has plagued the thoughts of many a family member or care giver. As a past member of different facilities, the care that is given to this special population in those places was sb par at best despite any reviews to the contrary. Seeing how the residents are treated on a daily basis prompted action by someone who possesses the hands-on skills to deal with residents but who is also in the position to not only hear their needs but take action to help them. The needs of this population are everchanging and the people who care for them should have the skill set to match those needs. By being the person who oversees the care for the aging, one can ensure that they are treated the way that they so richly deserve. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
