Before answering that questi... on lets discuss what perception is, perception is when you become aware of something using your senses. Prior experiences a person may have also impacts how and individual may perceive something. Another interesting thing about perception is how you could have a group of people looking at and experiencing the same exact thing, and yet all of those people can have different perceptions of what they may have experienced or seen. Now I can go over the process of perception. It is a very complex process. Perceiving involves processing information with our senses and also using our brain to analyze the information we take in from our senses. Through that process some information can be lost or changed, thus often making us unable to process stimulus exactly how they exist. Hearing something and/ or seeing something begins the process of perception, and then the information you just received becomes a part of your inner sensory process. Sensory receptors are used by each sense and these receptors are used to respond to different types of energy or stimulus. This process starts what is known as transduction, transduction is when the information you received from the sensory receptors is transformed into a message that is then sent to the brain via neural networks and neurons.
