ToT devices is nothing but a series of connected devices that share the data dynamically to perform specific actions via the Internet. In the past few decades, the manufacturing of IoT devices has increased exponentially, but only in the last decade, the efficiency and the security of these devices have improved because of the increased dependency on big data analytics. IoT devices produce massive volumes of data, and the manufacturers have to use that data to convert it into manufacturing knowledge by closing the loop. This would also help the manufacturing systems to be highly responsive to the customer needs and to withstand the competition in the market. And thereby improving the profitability of the businesses (Barton et al., 2018). The IoT terminology may feel futuristic, but it is known for making our lives normal going and is already in our everyday lives. This technology is simple yet sophisticated.
